Sunshine Coast business, The Creative Collective were today announced as a double finalist in the Queensland Multimedia Awards.
The Queensland Multimedia Awards recognise excellence in regional Queensland’s media industry, and are one of the most prestigious events on the calendar.
The Queensland Multimedia Awards covers print, television, radio and multimedia and entries are accepted from media organisations and individuals based in regional Queensland, including Sunshine Coast, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, Atherton Tablelands, west to Mt Isa and north to Weipa.
After a gruelling judging process, conducted by experts in each field, The Creative Collective were today announced as finalists in the best logo category for their work in developing a national brand for Digital Careers, a $6.5m federally funded project aimed at increasing the number and quality of ICT graduates in Australia; as well as the best large website category (51 pages or more) for their development of www.whitsundayescape.com.au. Whitsunday Escape is the largest bareboat sailing charter provider in the Whitsundays.
“Being a sizeable project, we drew on multiple designers and developers within our team to tackle different aspects of the project and achieve the look and functionality desired by the client. One of the most challenging aspects of the build was the interactive map which allows users to click on any of the Whitsunday Islands featured on the map and find out more detailed information about each region including pictures, nautical information and tips while visiting,” says project manager and partner of The Creative Collective, Katrina Lees.
Yvette Adams, founder and partner of The Creative Collective says whilst The Creative Collective and their team members have been recognised in multiple awards programs in the past, this is the first time the company have been recognised for the quality of their multimedia work.
The winners of each of the 52 categories of the awards will be announced at a gala dinner, which will be held in Cairns on Saturday 8 November.
